How to Care for Crystal Gifts, China and Flatware

Because of subtle and delicate crystal glasses require treatment to maintain their intelligence and integrity for years to be come, we highly recommend the following:
Washing glasses and fine crystal by hand in moderately hot water with a mild detergent and lemon 1 / 4 cup ammonia (to prevent spots). Rinse with clean water and air dry on a rack. Cleaning the crystal in an automatic dishwasher can cause the crystal to lose brilliance; we recommend that you avoid this. Use your dishwasher's "fine crystal and china" setting.
Because even the most mild automatic dishwashing detergent brand of coarse, only use half the recommended amount.

Flatware
Waterford Fine Stainless Flatware is dishwasher safe. We recommend using a dishwasher detergent that gently (avoid using lemon-scented products). If possible, set on the fine wash china settings to ensure gentle cleansing. Stainless Wash separately from aluminum, sterling or Silverplate items, such as pitting can occur.
Spoons and forks into the basket with the handle facing down. The knife should be included with the knife facing down.
Shedding of water or additional drying can be used to minimize the points water. Should water spots or stains that happens, we recommend using Hagerty polish stainless steel. Also, alcohol or vegetable oil can be used to remove water spots stubborn. Shine flatware use white vinegar drenched sponge.
While stainless steel is designed to resist most common stains, corrosion and / or discoloration can be caused because of prolonged contact with chloride rich foods, such as salt, mayonnaise, mustard and eggs.
