I need design ideas for a elegant, but still young, bedroom.?
I want to stay in a color theme of grays, blues, white and purples. My room is pretty small. I also want to bring in elements of nature if at all possible. I would like it to be elegant and stylish, with girly touches. But NO PINK.
You said you have a small room. I'm guessing the bed is the biggest element in it, so start there. Find a comforter set you like and use the colors in the comforter to set the tone for the other elements in the room: walls, lamps, furniture and accessories. Use lighter shades on the walls, and darker tones on the furniture and the lamp shades. Use light colored accessories to contrast with the darker furniture and brighten the room up. I would pull in natural elements with artwork.
Check out Ikea. They have some great curtain panels that are inexpensive and have a really natural, organic feel to them. You can put them straight up on the wall as art instead of using them as actual curtains.
