I have gross hands. Please help me?
I'm14 and I just have really gross hands. They use to be so nice when I was 11 and 10. I haven't cracked my knuckles for like 2 or 3 years. My nails aren't thatbad. My fingers just are wrinkly or liney and i can't stand it! Also, they are dry too and my fingertips are red and have the skin peeling.
Also on one of my finger (my pointer finger) right on the side of my nail is like an opening and I have had it for a few months. I don't know where it came from. It hurts too, pretty bad. its not huge! but its like the size of a pearl earing would be. what is it??

You say you have wrinkly/liney hands first, it could be one of many things, it may be a dermatological condition, it could be a warning sign that you're dehydrated, there's many other things this "could" be, from a minor to serious ailment. You go on to say that you've had an open wound of sorts on the side of your finger, this would worry me personally. Any open wound for that length of time is dangerous as it can cause an infection to seep into the bloodstream and potentially cause a blood infection such as sepsis. I agree that this too can be a sign on early detection diabetes.
Due to the potential of either case scenario having a possibility of an underlying problem, you should have your parent(s) take you to your doctor. Your doctor can then run a panel of tests and "maybe" find the answer. If, however, he/she doesn't find an answer, he/she will certainly be able to ascertain and assign a specialist that can best suit your needs. Don't delay in getting a doctor's appointment however as you want the normalcy in appearance and overall health that you had not that long ago.
