Crystal soil is a water absorbent polymer used to pot plants and flowers. The Water crystals as they are sometimes called come in different colours and are packed in small 10g packs. Crystal soil can be used for all occasions and are often used for wedding floral arrangements and indoor decorations. Indoor house plants thrive in crystal soil and its exotic colours will add that extra beauty to your home.
Crystal soil is not only aesthetic however but functional.Simply hydrate the crystals in water and within eight to ten hours it will absorb the water and expand to it full size. Drain the excess water and empty the crystals into a vase and put your plants and flowers as required.
It is also a good idea to add fertiliser to the water when hydrating crystal soil, this will ensure that crystal soil does not only release water to the plants from its microscopic holes but also food.
Indoor plants grow more vigorously and healthy in crystal soil because the plants do not over feed or drink more water than is necessary which can cause poor health and even result in premature death.
Other benefits of crystal soil is you do not have to water the plants on a daily or weekly basis. Once you use crystal soil to poy your plants you do not have to water your plants for months. This is perfect when you are on holiday as you no longer have to worry about watering your plants as they are well taken care of.
Crystal soil is not only ideal for indoor plants but for cut flowers. Bought cut flowers recently? dont last for more than a few days? Then use crystal soil to prolong the live of your cut flowers.
Crystal soil has other uses other than potting plants and cut flowers, they can be used for you mantel or centrepieces to add that extra decor and interior finish to your home. They are cheaper than marbles, come in assorted colours and are more functional and aesthetic than marbles.
Crystal soil can also be used as a soil additive, rather than water your plants constantly you can add crystal soil to the soil which will keep the soil moist.this is especially good for your hanging plant and flower baskets.
