IS A SILVER CHAIN DIPPED IN 18 KARAT GOLD WORTH ABOUT 675 DOLLARS WITH CUBIC ZARCONIA GOOD OR WOULD THAT BE CONSIDERED FAKE AND AM I BETTER OFF BUYING A SOLID GOLD 24 KT CHAIN OR 18 KT SOLID NO CUBIC ZARCONIA ?BECAUSE I DONT LIKE THAT BUT THE ONE I SAW CAUGHT MY EYE IT WAS SILVER DIPPED IN 18 KT GOLD THIN WITH LONG LINKS THAT ARE CYLINDRICAL KIND OF WITH C.Z. That's a bit pricey I'd think for gold plate (dipped in gold), plus the CZ always looks very fake. The gold plate eventually wears off and looks really cheap. If it were my money and I was the one wearing it, I'd spend the money and get the real thing. You can get a heck of a good solid chain for about half the price, it will last longer, and just go with a pendant that will fit it (CZ or authentic gem) would work nicely. The long link chains are called a figaro, it has the long link then 3 small links then a long one, then 3 small ones etc etc. Check pawn shops, you can get brand new stuff (or close too), for about half the price you'd pay at a jewelry store.
