Enhance your Looks with Lace Front Wigs
Lace front wigs are actually wigs which have a lace base that can be trimmed so that it blends with your head and looks like your natural hair once you put it on. Lace wigs look more natural as compared to the conventional wigs and are lighter on the head. Full lace wigs wherein the whole cap of the wig is made of lace. By using a full lace wigs it is possible for the wearer to part the hair anyway she likes without any possibility that it will be detected that she is wearing a wig.
There are basically two kinds of lace that are used to make lace wigs; one is Swiss lace which is very delicate and so thin that it cannot even be noticed. French lace on the other hand is fine and cannot be detected too but is much stronger than the Swiss lace. The lace can be dyed to match your exact skin tone so that the lace front wigs appear and blend even more naturally.
When you buy one of the lace front wigs, you have to make sure that the cap is a good fit. Then you need to trim off the excess lace at the front of the wig. Attach the adhesive strips to the back side of the wig. Some people may choose to use adhesive glue. Pin up your natural hair nicely or put it in a stocking to get it out of the way. Clean your skin nicely and apply a skin barrier if your skin is sensitive to the adhesives. You can buy it from the same place where you bought your lace wigs. Or you can use a couple of coats of adhesive to the scalp at the hairline.
When the adhesive dries it is clear so it is not noticeable. Once the adhesive is applied to your scalp, let it dry for some time till it gets a bit tacky; then apply the lace wig. As you apply the wig, gently pull it into place and apply pressure onto the adhesive for some seconds, repeating this all over the scalp. Once the lace front wig is in place, you can use a wide toothed wig comb to remove any tangles in it.
Now you are ready to style your lace front wig just like you would your natural hair. You can braid it, curl it, wear it in a pony tail or let it fall loose. This is the beauty of this kind of lace wigs. There are many Hollywood stars who love to wear this kind of lace front wigs as they are easy to maintain. Besides, you can swim and shower I them and be as active as you would like to in them. You can wear them up to three months before you have to take them off and take care of them unless they get very grimy before that.
