Has anyone ever heard of ostrich feathers being unlucky?
I teach in a UK High School, currently revising 'Of Mice and Men' with GCSE students, and, in notes made with their last teacher. a lot of students have written that ostrich feathers symbolise bad luck. I have googled it, but no luck, and checked sparknotes.com. I know peacock feathers are bad luck if you take them indoors, but ostrich feathers? Links or evidence (if any exists) would be useful. Thank you.
I found a source and it seems like ostrich feathers are just an alternative. Even then, the opposite tradition applies with it being a sign of faith in resurrection and as a talisman in some Asian countries
