Why do the british politicians and celebrities wear a red flower on their suits?
I’ve seen them wearing that red “thing” for a couple of years now. Is it a solidarity symbol of some kind?
The flower they wear is a poppy. They wear it to remember the soldiers that died during WW1 as poppies used to grow in places like Flanders Fields. It’s predominatly a British thing in the run up to “Remeberence Day” on Nov 11th.
