(A question in peace for Ramadan) Is going to doctor for cure, shirk or kuffr?
This question is inspired by "Rosy Pearl" and intended to answer her Q.
We read in Koran that:
واذا مرضت فهو يشفين
26.80: "And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me;
Almost all of us go to Doctor when we are sick! Is it shirk or Kuffr?
(I used "almost" cuz Ankaboot told me that he reads Koran for cure when he is sick!!!)
No certainly not!
We believe that God cures us but we go to doctor!?
Yes, the real subject of curing is God, but God decided this work to be done by docotors!
the same story is going on when we (shia) call on prophet(as) and ahlulbayt(as) for help.
For sure it is not true to call everyone for help while we intended God. but according to our beliefs there are certain people that God decided to be asked for help.
So we are for sure not among those "who call upon others besides God"!
yeah ur rite in case of docs surely IT IS ALLAH WHO CURES US BT ALLAH CANNOT DO THT BY CMIN N SITTING N GIVING US MEDICINE SO allh gives DOCTORS DA BRAIN 2 CURE US ! SO ITS NO WRONG 2 GO TO DOCTORS CUZ ALLH IS HELPING US THROUGH DOCS !thrs a story like a man was drowning in water n he had full faith in ALLAH n when he was drowning he thoght tht ALLAH is thr 2 help me n he was rite oso n thn thr was a log of wood flowing in the water bt he did not use it again thinking tht allah will help him . ALLH wants to help him bt ye is not accepting tht help ! wes hold think all these logically we sunis dont do shirk bt we ask da help of gr8 religious people to request allah to accept our supplications bcuz they r more religious than us so ALLAH will accept our pleas faseter if they request 2 Allah 4 us !its not tht we worship THESE GR8 MUSLIMS !
