Did you wear your veil at the reception? Do you have to wear your veil in front of your shoulders?
My mother is driving me up the wall, wanting me to wear white, wear a blusher, blah blah... I want a dropped waist dress, with an elbow to fingertip length veil. My hair will be half up and half down, so I may have to wear the veil OVER my hairdo until after the ceremony, which makes me wonder if I should choose another style so I can continue to wear a veil throughout the night and show off my pretty hair... comments?

Mrs.B your hair was fabulous! I have long hair as well, and am hoping she can get it right... by the time the wedding rolls around, it will be a good 3-5 inches longer!
No, and no. My veil was single layer with minimal "poof," and I did wear it in front of my shoulders because that's how it was cut, but it mostly went behind once we got to pictures. I didn't want to cover up the dress too much.
If you want to keep wearing your veil, you can move it after the ceremony... have if over your updo for the ceremony, then move the comb under for pictures and the reception. Make sure your hairdresser shows you/your mother/your bridesmaids how to put the comb in properly if you're going to move it during your hair test run (usually happens with your bridal photos).
