One downside to handing over edible wedding favors is that more often than not it is consumed immediately after the wedding instead of being kept and preserved as a memento from the wedding. Candy tins are yet another widely followed form of wedding favor if the couple want to stick to edible favors. In this case though the guests might eat up all the candy soon after the wedding they can always keep the tin as a memory of the event and use it to keep small things which would be a memento.

Otherwise the couple could hand out candy kept in small containers which matches the very theme of the ceremony which would be smart and appropriate. Cookies are yet another type of edible favor that the couple can give. As usual the cookies can be given in boxes or cases or personalized containers. The cookies can be of different flavor with a dressing of different types of nuts. The couple could also distribute fortune cookies depicting a love quotation or an instance. There are bakeries which make cookies in all kinds of shapes and sizes. The couple can have the cookies made with their faces as design and give them out too.

Cocoas, tea, coffee are yet another type of edible favors that can be gifted. Speciality cocoas or teas and coffees can be selected which can have their packing done in different ways or you can have the packing along with your photo and a happy thought written on it. The happy thought could be a saying or a joke or a poem or a limerick or anything.
Again the picture of the couple along with the names of the couple and their wedding date could be printed which would again be a very innovative idea of gifting.
