How can I find out the value of a football signed by the 1963 New York Giants?
My father grew up in Stamford, CT. His father's best friend was Hall Of Fame defensive end Andy Robustelli. Andy gave my father a football signed by the entire 1963 Giants team. The signatures are in ballpoint pen (seeing as how the Sharpie wasn't around in '63) and many of them are faded. Other than priceless sentimental value, any idea how I can find out the value?
You can have it appraised by a sports collectible store but why bother that is really just one guy's opinion. I always feel the best way to appraise something is Post it a few times on E-Bay with a ridiculous reserve price so it won't sell start it low so the fee's are not high and the highest bis is really what it is worth.
